Hi,
I am using 3850 series switch and software version is 3.6.6. Also I am using multicast traffic on these 2 stack switches. When I am check the multicast query messages on wireshark I can see that general query message (224.0.0.1) every 60 seconds. Also I can see other igmp static query messages between same interval. When I shutdown the master switch, during about 140 second general query messages not shown and I could not get information from some systems that is not using static igmp. During this time I could not see 224.0.0.1 messages on wireshark and get any information because of this. But I can see static query messages in same period.
After 7-8 seconds later from shutdown static igmp query messages was send again but general message was not.
I did this test on 3.7.4 but I did not see any problem just like.
1- general and static query message interval time is 60 seconds?
2- what is the possible reason of this problem?
Is there anybody for help me about that?
