Guest MTU - Nexus 1000V - Hyper-V

Good Afternoon,

I am trying to work through a problem that I am having.

I am using Hyper-V and on the guest OS's, the MTU is set to 1450, however on the management OS the MTU is 1500.

Is there any way to set the MTU higher?  I don't want to enable jumbo frames however it looks like the Nexus module is limiting the MTU for the guests (but not the host).  I haven't done any configuration of MTU in the switch at all.  The uplinks all list 1500 as their MTU.  I have tried setting the MTU in the guest OS, however it reports that the packet needs fragmentation.

Some guidance would be appreciated, as unfortunately I cannot enable NLB until I get this MTU problem resolved.

Thanks

I resolved this by enabling jumbo frames instead of trying to work through the problem otherwise.
