Hardware error message when trying to create port-channels

Having a rough day with 3850's, (my second post, two different sites). When trying to create trunks, port-channels I'm getting the message

*May 10 15:47:04.759: %FED_PM_ERRMSG-3-HW_ERROR: 1 fed: Port Manager error -port native vlan: hardware update failed.
*May 10 15:47:04.757: %FED_PM_ERRMSG-3-HW_ERROR: STANDBY:2 fed: Port Manager error -port native vlan: hardware update failed.

Can't seem to find any information on it.  If anyone has seen it, i'd appreciate any advice you have to pass along. Thanks

Hi

Can you verify the native vlan status? are you using the vlan 1 as native or other vlan?

show vlan

also check this link:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/13124876/3850-trunking

bug CSCul30426

Conditions:
This defect is seen when trying to build a port-channel between a 3850 and any other switch with the following conditions:
1. The native vlan is in the suspended state
or
2. The native vlan is not present in the vlan database.

Workaround:
Once you created the layer two vlan or change it to an "active" state, the port-channel will form as expected.
