Help regarding migration from 7200 to 8500

Hi All, 

Need advise regarding the migration from 7200 to 8500. 

1. 7200 is not connected to internet and it is connected to 3750/3650 switches and 6500  switches. Some port channels are configured and static routing configured. Is there any challenge will come from 7200 to 8500 migration.

2. We have 3750/3560/3650 switches and we want migrate core switches from 3750 to 9300 and from Access switches 3750  to 9200 . No stacking is implemented in between switches. 

Could any once advise from where I start migration (from Core or access layer switches).

A bit confuse.

At the end, your core will be a 9300 and your access 9200 ?  What about the 6500?  And what 8500 will be used for?

About the strategy, I´d start by Core switches.  But, in fact, does not realy matter.

Actually, Our Edge Router(7200) Router is connected with 3750 switch and 6500 switch through Fiber and 3750 switch is connected with our two core switches(3560s)  which are further connected with Access Layer switches 3560 . 

We are going to deploy the cisco 8500 Edge Platform in replacement of 7200 Router(using same configuration(some port channel configured) and 9300 switch replaced with 3560 core switches and 9200 switches are replaced with other access layer switches 3560. There is no stacking active in it. 

Please  advise the best solution from where will I start and can we create port channels or same configurations on 8500 router.

 But, the job here, as you intend to keep the same topoloty, is configure the same setup you have today. What can be different is command sintax from one platform to the other but this is easy to find.
