You options are either via TFTP:

...or the slower option, xmodem:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps259/products_tech_note09186a008015bfac.shtml

...if using the latter, remember to set your baud speed to something like 115200 to increase the upload speed.

Yes, the same procedure is used for Catalyst switches that run IOS, including all models of the 3750.

If it's a newer 3750X (or other switch with the USB Type A port) you can use the USB port and upload from a thumb drive (must be FAT16-formatted).
