how does router connect to ATM switch?

Hi every body!

In frame relay, router connects to frame relay switch using T1 line. The router may have integrated csu/dsu on T1 card or csu/dsu can be stand alone unit .

1)In ATM network, does router have the intergrated cs/dsu on ATM interface card on router?

2) Does router connect to ATM switch using T1 line?

1) Yes, here is one example - this is for T3 (similar can be found for T1):

2) It's called ATM Circuit and it can be a T1/E1 or T3/E3.
