Hello community!
I have run the command "test cable-diagnostics tdr int " on a couple of switches:
WS-C2960-48TC-L
WS-C2960S-24TS-L
As I understand, the command is a one-time thing. What I mean is that it doesn't go on testing until you somehow stop it. Correct???
I was trying to "clear cable-diagnostics tdr" on the above platforms, but the command doesn't seem to be supported...
Does anyone know of another way to clear the cable-diagnostics?
Thanks in advance,
Katerina

No. It will do a one-time test. When it's finish, it's finish.
By the way, what IOS are you running?

Thanks for your response!
I am running the following images (I have tested the command on 3 devices with different images):
WS-C2960-48TC-L --> c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-50.SE5.bin
WS-C2960-48TC-L --> c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-35.SE5.bin
WS-C2960S-24TS-L --> c2960s-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE3.bin

Ok, on the side-note, I'd recommend you upgrade the IOS to 12.2(55)SE6.
The IOS you are currently running are not very good. "50" has some CPU bugs. "35" has tons of security vulnerabilities. The "55" sub-version you are running, "SE3", also have some bug fixes found in the version I have mentioned.

Thanks so much for the info!
I'll see what I can do...

I'm having the same problem with a perpetual TDR test running on an interface. I've found no way to stop it short of reloading the switch, which really isn't an option as it serves a medical practice. This is on a Cisco 9300 running 16.9.4. ??
