How to get IOS for testing only

Hello, I have a cat6500 for example. I would like to upgrade IOS from base to adv. ip. serv. The problem is I need to test the IOS before buying, to see if it resolves issue I have with base. Is this possible? Thanks

Hi there,

I would contact your Cisco reseller/partner and see what they say. It is possible that they may be able to organise some sort of "try before you buy" but I am not sure if this is something that Cisco would promote generally

thanks for the reply. Actually I am Cisco distributor and this is the case I have with my partner. I contacted TAC first but they wouldn't help without active service contract for the chassis and redirected me here. I'm trying to find out what is a general solution for such problems ...
