How to Ping between different subnets WITHOUT a router

mindeswx
Level 1
Level 1

This is the setup- -

  • Windows machine - 192.168.1.64
  • Linux machine - 192.168.1.69
  • router 1 - 192.168.5.1
  • router 2 - 192.168.0.2
  • router 3 - 192.168.0.3 All connected to a network switch.

Question is - How can I access/ping all of the other machines from my windows machine? Preferably without a router, because that would be a bandwidth bottleneck.

Thank you!

P.s Sorry if this is an inappropriate board.

Hello,

honestly the only way I see to accomplish this is to give all devices a /16 (255.255.0.0) subnet mask, which effectively puts them in the same network.

Is this an exam question ? What are you trying to accomplish ?
