How to replace member of a SG550XG stack?

Greetings,

I have a stack of two SG550XG-8F8T, where one stackmember is faulty. After creating a ticket I got a replacement unit, which I want to put in service now.

I have updated the firmware to be the same like on the switch, downloaded the running config from the stack and tried to import it to the new unit (all done through a laptop, without any connection to my productive network).

I got an error stating that some part of the configuration is faulty (will need to recheck, as I am not in the office now).

Is this the right way to replace that unit? Or am I doing it wrong anyway?

Thanks in advance
Johannes

Hello,

could be a problem with the unit numbering. If you are using manual numbering, make sure there are no duplicate numbers; or use auto numbering.
