i need to add a link to a C9500 using Stackwise-virtual

i need to add a link to a 9500 using StackWise-Virtual. 

How can i do that without rebooting the switches? 

they are used for my Core Switches and rebooting them would that the whole network down. 

Is there a way to accomplish this?

anyway for now your devices are single homed there is no redundancy for now ?
