The IE 4000 series switches freeze for some time when it gets too hot. After a restart, they work again but then freeze once more. Is there any way to check the heat or temperature-related logs from the switches other than using the show environment all command? Thanks in advance.

- Perhaps it might be better to check the datasheet of the devices first and look for the allowed temperature ranges,
make sure the surrounding environment can comply ,

- Better then is to forward all logging and or configuring a syslog server (too) ; and check the logs on the syslog server (from the switch). Such conditions may also be reported using snmp traps. Therefore enable snmp traps on the switch (all categories) and configure an snmp trap receiver (again then the received traps , if any , must be examined on the snmp trap receiver)
