Hi.
Ho to disable port blocking on Inconsistent peer vlan and Inconsistent local vlan?
I have a situation like this:
Switch A <--------> Switch B (Cisco Nexus 3064)
There is Vlan 21 from Switch B to Switch A.
There are vlans: 31,32,33 from Switch A to Switch B.
On switch A I have vlan 21 in access on ports 1,2,3.
On switch A I have vlan 31 in access on port 4.
On switch A I have vlan 32 in access on port 5.
On switch A I have vlan 33 in access on port 6.
Now, port 1 and 4 are connected via patchcord.
Port 2 and 5 are connected via patchcord.
Port 3 and 6 are connected via patchcord.
This makes Nexus complaining about inconsistent peer vlan and Inconsistent local vlan.
In short, I need to "translate" vlans 31,32,33 into vlan 21.
Vlan translation 1-to-1 won't work as I can't add multiple entry with same translated vlan.
Vlan translation n-to-1 won't work as it makes QinQ (as far as I get it from documentation).
Do I need to enable "spanning-tree bpdufilter enable" on Switch B where Switch A is connected?

Hi
When you say "connected via patch cord" do you mean you are extending one cable from one switch to another? And you are not using port-channel?
Why?

you need to use ONE vlan to interconnect both SW
and then allow each SW VLAN to pass though this VLAN ?

No, when I say "connected via patchcord" I say there is a 25cm patchcord from port 1 in Switch A to port 4 in Switch A.
No port-channel.
Ports between switches are in trunk. There are more vlans passing through. This is a simplified example.

if it trunk then your issue is that SW-A run different SPT mode than SW-B
match the STP mode and you will fine

Hmm, that's true.
Switch A has none, Switch B uses whatever Cisco uses as default.
If that's the only way to get rid of this error then I guess I have to move forward with replacing cisco.
Thanks for answers.

You are so so welcome.
by the way
it suggestion not recommend and you must be careful
you can use disable STP in trunk port buy using portfast and BPDUfilter since SW-A have NONE (which I think you need to double check this point because this log message indicate that cisco SW receive wrong BPDU i.e. SW-A run STP).
why you need careful here because STP is prevent L2 Loop when you disable it there is chance even if it little that L2 Loop can happened and all network will be down.
