I've just installed new server switches ( CAT4506-E with SUP6-E modeule ) but I still have drops in some queues.

I need to know what's causing these drops, so I need to know the description for the tx-drops-queue on switches.

All drops occur in yx-drops-queue-8

Thank you for the informaion.

I've reviewed it and have now a better knowledge of the queues but....

I understand the 4 QOS queues, but what about the other queues 5 - 8. I can't find any information on these queues.

Can you post the output from the switch that is showing you the drops in the queue you mentioned ?
