inline power for 3750G and 3750PS

Hi ALL,

we have several cisco 3750G and 3750P switched with inline power.

Suddenly we have a  few IP phones not working ie keep drop in *& out  but by move them to a different ports - it work agains.

Show Power inline Cmd show that the ports still have inline power.

What could be wrong?

Any advice is much appreciated,

We have a similar thing happen in the past and the support company just ask us to send back the switch & got it replaced

but we want to know what cause it.

Since when are you facing this issue?

Was this working fine before? If yes were there any software or hardware changes been made which triggered this issue?

Whats the software version running on the switches?

Hi Inayath,

Only last week. We upgrade the IOS from earlier version to 12.2(55)SE6 a couple of months ago so this would not

cause it.

The only thing worry me is the switch get a fair bit of dust since we a have a bit of renovation done.

Ahh I see ...may be thats the reason. Just wait for some time untill complete renovation gets completed and monitor the situation after that and let me know if you face the issue later on.
