Did you ever find out what was causing the problem? I also have this issue on two different 7200's going to two different devices. One connects to a Ciena switch. The other connects to a Cisco ME-3600X switch. My show interface outputs are below for both routers. IP addresses have been removed. Thanks in advance for any help or insight in to this.

Input errors (Ignores/overruns) are platform/hardware/interface limitation. There is no way to make them go away. The good news is that it is seen such slow numbers that there is virtually no odds of having any impact on service interruption.
Having said that, there is so much information about this. Some folks tend to believe that whatever problem they are having is because of these (ignore/overrun). Please don't fall for it.
