Interface forwarding

guys if two swicthes are connected togather and desired is when one port fails the other port should wait for 18 seconds before interface begings forwarding....how we will do that in mst and PVST can someone please explain

Not sure what you are asking here. Do you mean there are 2 separate connections between 2 switches and one of them is blocked by STP ?

If so, when the forwarding link fails the standby link would begin forwarding. How long it takes is dependant on which STP version you are running. Not sure where the figure of 18 seconds comes from ?

Yes you are right i am talking about two separate connection now on the same time i am talking about the tweeking of STP time....so that the port shd wait for 18 seconds before it start forwarding......how we do that in mst and pvst??? thanks
