Interface not coming up automatically after a failure

Hi all,

Our customer has a 10G fiber port to a provider. Whenever the provider has a flap customer's port goes down but not coming up until they shut/no shut the port. It is a C9300-48T.

Unfortunately, the customer is reluctant to give us their port config.

The only log we have is below

%LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface TenGigabitEthernet x.x.x, changed state to down

I know it is not too much but any idea for the reason would be much appreciated.

Thanks

check the err-disable,

Hi,

Usually, when that happens, you would need to hard set the speed, as most likely the provider has hard set their side. You can always ask the provider to give you the port configuration so, the customer can match it.
