Hi
We would like to move a DHCP pool server from one IOS device to another IOS device of the same model
we currently archive the leases file to an FTP server, is there a way on the new IOS DHCP server to force it to load a lease file WITHOUT having to reload the switch?(the Leases file would be a new edited version of the origianal)
Cheers for your help

Hi,
I think this should work with the ip dhcp database command.

Regards.

thanks for posting we are going to find out in the next couple of hours
we are going to try no service dhcp tell it to use a file and then service dhcp to see if it reads in the file whgen starting.
we'll try both ways and report back
