IOS features after the IOS name has been changed

Is there a way to identify the IOS feature sets and IOS on a router after the original IOS file name has been modified?

It is certainly possible to identify the IOS version after the file name has been changed (show version would be the first place that I would look for this). I do not know a way to identify the feature set if the file name has been changed.
