Dear All,
currently the switch is running image s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-vz.122-33.SXH4.bin.
what is the latest image for upgrading the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Virtual Switching Supervisor Engine 720 with 10GE uplinks .
I downloaded s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-vz.122-33.SXI6.bin

Hi,
Yes, that's the latest one from SXI train. I see that you're using modular IOS, although it will be end of life soon, and it's not available in the latest SXJ train, so I would recommend you to move to non-modular IOS, which will have the following image name:
s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-33.SXI6.bin
SXJ is also available, which is the next release train, however SXI6 currently is newer. These trains are currently developed in parallel, so both are getting updates. For SXJ, the image name will be the following:
s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-33.SXJ.bin
Always refer to the Release Notes page for more information about the changes and supported hardware:

Best regards,
Andras

Hi,
There are some new features in SXJ which are discussed in the Release Notes I linked. If you don't need those specifically, you should be safe to go with SXI6.
Best regards,
Andras
