Hi Team,
I was working in medium level company as a administrator,my manger asked me to track some extinctions switch off and switch on count,Because people will unplug the LAN cable when ever they go outside,can I track that and make any count or is their any possibility with CUCM or tracking switch port.kindly help me on this issue.

Port events like link up and down may be monitored on the switch the device is connected to. But you disclosed no details of your hardware, so no chance to provide more specific advice.

OK. As I claimed before, (un)plugged LAN cable can be monitored on switch. It's LAN issue, it have little relationship to a Voice Systems, so you has been off topic in the community you asked.
You have a kind of Catalyst switch of 2900 product line. I'm no expert on it, but I assume the SNMP can be used to monitor port status. There may be other possibilities as well. I moved this thread to more appropriate community assuming a Catalyst expert will offer a solution/advice to you.
