I've been trying to find out how long a cisco switch or router will hold an inactive ip redirect to another gateway before flushing it from the table, does anyone know?
While the primary layer 3 routing device knows a more specific destination route, and if "ip redirect" is confgured - it will continue to pass this on to clients via the icmp redirect message.
