We just upgraded one of our offices to new Cisco Catalyst 3750 switches. The next morning, two users said that it took an abnormally long time to load their computers and they experienced connection issues at first, but it eventually came back on line. Everyone else seemed okay. Is this normal first time connecting through the switch? If not, how to troubleshoot?

Is port-fast configured on the user edge ports?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it is. I had enabled it with "spanning-tree portfast default". Other than that, nothing special is configured on the switch.

Actually, I just logged in and it is not. Must have forgotten to save it. Thanks for the tip. Is it safe to run spanning-tree portfast default while users are connected? Will it boot them off?
