Hi All,
I have a new cisco 4510R+E, I have created vlan and trying to test the vlans by connecting two laptops and ping each other, ping is working fine between both the laptops and from laptop to switch, and when i am trying to ping from swicth to laptop by giving repeat 1000, after 250+ ping, all the connections for the particular laptop is disconnecting and getting General failure error in the command prompt.
same is happening by giving IP address on the Switch port and Laptop Port
Please advice
Thankyou

Hi,
Check the laptop for firewall software installed, which will prevent you from pinging the laptop with high numbers of even sometimes low numbers.

Hi Reza ,
Seems to be your are correct on some part when i tried that it worked well on one laptop, but even after uninstalling the Antivirus/Firewall Software and turn off the windows firewall on second laptop, getting the same issue with 250+ pings.
not sure is this is a security feature enabled in switch or any windows 7.
Thankyou for helping.
