Latest software releases for EOL Switches

Dear all,

In our lab we have some EOL Products (some of the are realy old). I would like to check the latest -interim  software für these devices.

Catalyst 2970G-24TS (we have: c2970-lanbase-tar.122-44.SE6)
Catalyst 2960G-24TC-L (we have: c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-55.SE12, c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-2.SE11)
Catalyst 3750G-24TS-E1U (we have: c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE12, c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.150-2.SE11)
Catalyst 3750X-48P-E (we have: c3750e-universalk9-mz.152-4.E10)

Are these the latest versions? And what do you recomend?

  - Since those devices are EOL , software downloads are no longer offered. Recommendation is to use replacement
     models

The software versions you listed for these End-of-Life (EoL) devices are quite close to or may already be the final releases available, as Cisco typically stops releasing updates once a product reaches EoL status. Here’s a quick review:

1. Catalyst 2970G-24TS: The version 12.2(44)SE6 is likely the latest or close to the final release, as this device is very old.
2. Catalyst 2960G-24TC-L: The versions 12.2(55)SE12 and 15.0(2)SE11 seem to be among the last available releases for this model.
3. Catalyst 3750G-24TS-E1U: The versions 12.2(55)SE12 and 15.0(2)SE11 are also near the final updates for this series.
4. Catalyst 3750X-48P-E: The version 15.2(4)E10 is one of the latest for this model before its EoL.

To confirm, you can check Cisco’s Software Download portal or refer to the EoL product bulletins for exact details. Given the stated purpose of the switches is learning and training of new network engineers, you shouldn't concern yourself very much with the software release the switches are running as long as they are booting and running ok and you are not experiencing any problems or bugs.

The fact that the software releases on the switches are the lates or near latest available for the platforms seems like an added bonus.
