New in an environment and getting some equipment up and running. I have a WS-X45-SUP6-E and im trying to enable simple layer 3 routing between vlans. When I run the ip routing command it doesn't seem to take. Was doing some reading and it seems like Cisco has changed some things around and now if I want to do layer 3 routing I need to purchase an additional license for this functionality? Am I reading this correctly?
The device is currently running cat4500e-ipbasek9-mz.152-2.E.bin, its not in production yet so im flexible if I need to change IOS

Go HERE and scroll down to Table 1. It should tell you which routing protocols are supported in IP Base and Enterprise.
