LDAP account linked cucm Directory number ??

Im trying to get a bit of advice.. Im new to this system and from whats been dropped into my lap, im figuring out alot isn't configured the way ti should be so im playing Learn and fetch.

anyway...

I have CUCM 14 and the Users account as pulled in Via LDAP.   The criteria are setup to pull the IPPhone number as the extension over as well as the other data.   The user data does come over as it should (to my knowledge).

My thought process....  when i update the person information it  Active Directly  it then should be pulled over through LDAP into CUCM  ( which is does properly)...

What I'm trying to figure out is where does the information LINK to the numbers that are created in the CUCM directory number?

Right now we have to manually change 6 different fields with the person information instead of it auto populating based on the phone number attached in the profile.

=============================

what i expected was once the LDAP is snyc'd, would be able to pick a device and put in that "phone number" and it would pull the user info from cucm end user fields.

if any of this makes sense.

Hm, it seems like you're asking about linking an LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) account to a Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Directory Number. In a few sentences, this integration allows CUCM to leverage information from an LDAP directory service for user authentication and directory-related features, enhancing the management of directory numbers associated with users in the CUCM system.

The ldap part isn't really the issue since the data has been pulled over..
how do u get end user data to be associated with the corresponding
extension when adding the number to a device. If at all possible.

Hmm, friend, that's more complicated!
