Link Aggregation

Hi,

Has any one experienced deploying link aggregation between a Cisco 6509 and a Marconi BXR-5000 using 1Gig interfaces? I know they only way I can do this on Cisco devices is by using port-channel, but other venders do not support port-channel.

Hello Reza,

in multi vendor context look for LACP support IEEE 802.3AD other vendors can give to this other names.

on cisco side you need to use

channel-group x mode active

LACP message frames are exchanged on each member link providing also a protection mechanism.

if a port misses to receive LACP frames it is put in down state.
