Link Flaps in Metro Ring running MSTP

Dear Folks,

I am working in an ISP. We are facing last mile protocol flaps for all customers in Metro ring with MSTP. Also we face link flaps often. We have no clue as we see only the link up/down log in the devices. We also raised a ticket with Cisco which went with no solutions. Our MSTP ring is having about 50 devices. Also we do not find the protocol flaps in our devices as most of our customers are L2 customers.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey,

there might be a lot of reasons for this. To narrow down the issue i would suggest u perform the sectional testing of the links in MSTP ring where you are seeing the logs.
