Hi All
I am having a setup of 13-14 switches. Its a mix of cisco , non cisco, unmngabled (dlink) switches.
When I try to find a device on which switch it is conncted by tracing MAC address table. Most of the time I end up on switch (Say Switch A) whose mac adddress table point me back to the uplink. When I follow uplink switch it points me back to switchA.
What could be the reason? Any configruation to avoid such situation.
Thanks
Deepak Khemani

Given the case, is your network functioning properly with out any packet drops ?
And as Alain said, it would be helpful, if you can post a logical view of your network,

Chandu
