Hi Everyone,
I'm getting this MALLOCFAIL error and then after a while the switch crashed.
%SYS-2-MALLOCFAIL: Memory allocation of 774966538 bytes failed from 0x1B33220, alignment 0 Pool: Processor Free: 23956224 Cause: Not enough free memory Alternate Pool: None Free: 0 Cause: No Alternate pool -Process= "SMI IBC server process", ipl= 0, pid= 175
After rebooting twice the switch stabilized.
My question are:
-anyone, familiar with SMI IBC server process?
-anyone, know how to read this error?
By the way, it's a 3560 switch.
Thanks

Are you familiar with SMI IBC Server? It requires a memory allocation of more than 1GB which is even larger than the RAM.
By the way thanks for the docu.
