Maximum SPAN sessions on a 3750 switch

Hello,

We're running a switched LAN environment, made up mostly of 3750 switches (and switch stacks). One one of our "core" switch stacks, we're running two different SPAN sessions for IDS, etc. I tried to add a third for another appliance, but the IOS says "Platform can support a maximum of 2 source sessions". Can anyone confirm this is the case? Is that the absolute limit for monitoring (SPAN) sessions on a 3750 switch? I just want to confirm this before I tell my boss that we have to get a different platform if we want more SPAN sessions.

The IOS is displaying the correct information.

The Local SPAN session limit is 2 but you can use RSPAN configuration for the same.

These are the local SPAN and RSPAN session limits:

Total Sessions per Switch	Local SPAN Sessions	RSPAN Source Sessions	RSPAN Destination Sessions
66	2 (ingress or egress or both)	0	64
	1 ingress	1 (ingress or egress or both)
	1 or 2 egress	0
