As far as I understood, in metro ethernet the provider will provide an ethernet connection to the customer. So it is possible to connect it directly to a switch. However as far as I know it is not possible with 3560 switches to encrypt a link. Is there any other solution from Cisco to encrypt a metro ethernet link without the need to have a router?
