The port logically and/or physically which allows management access to switch.
Generally Cisco devices come with a "console", the supports RS-232 a connection (physical port used has varied over the years). By default, this port, generally, provides full access to the switch and shows logging messages, including from initial cold boot (also support access when device in "ROMMON" mode.
Often outside of "ROMMOM" mode, switch might also provide a management Ethernet port, and/or (?) and "AUX" port (also RS-232) and support for management to an management IP reachable via any "normal" network port using an IP. (These other ports, to support/enable management access, generally require switch to be configured to do so.
The later Cisco devices, Ethernet management port, if on a L3 device, may have the port in a dedicated management VRF separate from the default common VRF.
