MTU on switch between two routers

i have the following topology
 

R1--- SW----R2

if i configure R1 & R2 with MTU 2000 and the L2 Switch has a maximum MTU of 1500.

what happens for the packet flow in this scenario ?

It will not make any difference ... Only thing that need to take care is your L3 device in this case router must have same MTU size ... Packet will flow from origin and collect at the end ie. router to router ... End checksum value will be matched. Router (1476 mtu ) >>> switch >>> router (1476)

I believe the switch will drop ingress frames that are bigger than its MTU.
