Hi,

Can not make a whiteboard application that use multicast ¨IP address 224.2.1.1¨ working on DMVPN phase 2.

Followed the Cisco doc ¨Multicast over IPsec VPN design guide¨still have problem.

The only error I am seeing when debuggin is in the access layer switch 2950:

IGMPSN: router Received non igmp pak on vlanxxx

any idea ?

Thanks

Tayeb,

This is not an error message but merely a message stating that a PIM message has been received on the specific vlan, which indicates that a PIM router is on that vlan. This message is triggered by the debug command that you used.

About the real problem, did you check that the router does see the multicast traffic (show ip mroute)? If so, there might be other issues, such as misconfiguration or the application not setting the TTL high enough to reach the destination.

Here is the output of sh ip mroute:

(*, 224.2.1.1), 00:29:14/stopped, RP 0.0.0.0, flags: DP

Incoming interface: Null, RPF nbr 0.0.0.0

Outgoing interface list: Null

Why I am seeing stopped ???

Thanks
