Multicast messages received

I am receiving below following messages in 6509 switch logging, please note that i am not using any mulitcast application in our network.

Is these messages are critical or not?

Asad,

This could possibly be caused by an IGMP attack. Since you are not running any mcast application on this box, the simplest solution would be to disable IGMP snoopig globally.

If you were running a mcast application, the recommendation would be to configure an IGMP ACL on the interfaces where igmp is required.
