Multicast traffic not coming trough

Hello,

We have a home automation system running in our DMZ environment. Last week there was a planned power outage. But this power outage lasted longer than our UPS could handle. I can still reach all the systems connected to our home automation via ping. But if I want to change the settings of the air conditioner. Are they no longer transmitted. This would work via multicast. I started up Wireshark yesterday and saw that multicast traffic is just not being forwarded anymore, on our Cisco Catalyst 1000 switch IGMP snooping is on. On our trunk port the ip igmp snooping mrouter command has been executed. Do you guys have any idea why the mrouter is no longer causing my multicast traffic to get through.

only reboot FW(DMZ) and it will work again

Hello,

You mean rebooting our firewall?

Grtz

Yes either reboot, and if it cisco ASA you can instead of reboot clear local host <multicast group IP>
