Hi forum,
we apologize if we post on wrong community/sub-forum.
we have analyzed our traffic on vlan 706 have high traffic experience. what we dont know is, what server/user that use that traffic.
we have nexus 5K, and want to enable netflow on that device, but we know the device doesnt support it.
what we do today is, enabling netflow on other device. heres the topology.
Nexus 5K (eth1/6)------------trunk allow vlan 706----------> (gig3/3) Cat4500 (netflow enable)
but, the netflow only catch traffic from 4500.
is there any way.method to know how to analyze it?
any comment we are really apreciate it. :)
regards,

Hello.
Netflow should be configured on L3 interface that is forwarding traffic.
If 4500 doesn't forward the traffic, you would see it in netflow statistics.

Helo Vasili,
so Netflow isnt good for L2?
so if I enable svi vlan 706 on 4500, is Netflow work?
thank you.

Hello.
Netflow (Layer3) on SVI 706 would work if the devices in VL 706 are using your SVI (IP-address) as a gateway.
I doubt if it's possible to gather netflow statistics for Layer2 switched traffic.
