Matthew can be said that the slow network affect the performance of programs in the servers

we have campus with 3 building 3 tier network diagram.

the application department says the delay in network affect on the application. but the ping between switch and distribution or access is <1ms

from core to distribution 1G also from distribution to access is 1G

Is there a way to know Is there a slow network or not

Client to server with a capture (Wireshark).

Even money bet there are some tcp window settings that can be modifed.

You need to:

a. establish a baseline from an endstation NIC to the server (ping and trace route)

b. then capture a conversation at the app layer over the same path.
