Hi All,
Say the remote node (Router) is down suddenly, its not responding. Can someone please tell me what the things we have to check by order

If the node is down and if you have on out of band management network, then you can use that to gain access to the box, if not, then you have to have some one go to the router with console cable and log in to it to see what is the issue.

As a follow on to Rezas comments.
1. HAVE A PLAN.
By this i mean know "whats down, whats the impact" many network failures are end user experience/server problems.
quickly identify "whats supposed to be working" by interface.
2. What changed ?
Did something change to make things fail....it happens.
3. What is the network telling me (or not telling me) have routes disappeared, or new ones pop up.
4. Only change one thing at a time.
