Nexus 2000 - Gigabit Question?

I see that the Nexus 2000 will only support Gigabit connectivity (no configuration necessary it appears). My question is this: Do the devices connected to these ports need to be hardcoded to Gigabit speeds? What happens when the device is hardcoded to Gigabit and what happens if it is not hardcoded to Gigabit?

I likely have both scenarios in my Datacenter and need to know what happens in either scenario.

Thanks,

Jim

I haven't yet tried the 2000 series but since Cisco is a stickler for standards, I would assume that it will follow IEEE 802.3ab.

I also found this:

• Autonegotiation to 1000BASE-T; full duplex on host interfaces

in the Nexus 2000 datasheet:
