I intend up upgrade our Cisco Nexus 3048 Switches from 7.0(3)I7(7) to 9.3(11) and am curious if I can go for a straight upgrade or if I will need to go to another verision first? These switches are using HSRP between each other and serve as our main gateway to the internet.

If I'm reading that correctly, we shouldn't have to upgrade to 7.0(3)I7(8) as an intermediate step-up as we are past the verison it specifies, 7.0(3)I7(6). One thing that isn't as clear from reading this, would we need to upgrade with the compact image, or standalone. There's a pretty significant difference in file size between the 2.

Ah, I see the 7.0(3)I7(7) → 7.0(3)I7(10) → 9.3(11) path listed in there. Would I be able to get away with using the compact images then? or would I have to download the full image to upgrade?
