Hi everyone,
We have 2 Cisco Nexus 5020 switches and I wanted to do some rate-limiting experiments with them. But, the documentation for Nexus 5000 series switches don't mention anything regarding rate-limiting. (Nexus 7000 series switches do)
My question is, do the Cisco Nexus 5000 series switches support rate limiting? I was under an impression that rate-limiting is a very basic features which almost all the switches support. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Hi Sambit,
Yes, policing is supprted on Nexus 5K. You can use MQC and apply the service-policy under interface level.

Ok. So, this means that the rate limiting features only come with Nexus 7000 and are absent in Nexus 5000 series switches. Correct?

That is correct.
