Hello All,
can anyone tell me why we are not able to sync NTP from Nexus 9504, 93180, 92160, two command we configured:
#ntp server 10.x.x.x prefer
#ntp source-interface Vlan (mgmt)
We are able to sync from WAN router but not any of the Nexus switches. We are able to do sync from Cisco 6509 also.
9k# sh ntp status
Distribution : Disabled
Last operational state: No session
9k# sh ntp session status
Last Action Time Stamp : None
Last Action : None
Last Action Result : None
Last Action Failure Reason : none
Thanks

Hi,
I found the solution for my Nexuses here. It worked for me like a charm.
Actually you may try the command "clock protocol ntp" in global configuration mode which will indicate the protocol used for NTP. Then the hardware clock is updated.
