nexus5/7 k log configuration

we want to configure sys log and snmp for tracking interfac down in nexus 5k and 7k, is there any comannd difference between apply sys log and snmp in catlyst VSS 6500 switch?

Logging is done through the managemnet vrf , example below off one of my 5ks and a doc on it

logging server syslog 6 use-vrf management
logging server x.x.x.x 5 use-vrf management
logging monitor 6

For interface up/downs

logging event link-status default
logging level ethpm link-up error

and under interface itself

logging event port link-status

or

logging event port trunk-status

and

 snmp trap link-status
