Nexus7000 OSPF failure due to MFDM crash – searching for root cause

I did not find a Nexus 7000 group in NetPro, or in community central. Please let me know if there is a better place to post this.

We have experienced an unrecoverable process crash on Nexus 7000, specifically MFDM (Multicast FIB Distribution?) . It led to OSPF adjacency problems. We recovered the failed MFDM processs by reloading VDC. Unfortunately some of the core files were lost, and made TAC hard to track down the root cause.

I provided more details here: http://www.seanxwang.com/2010/08/nexus7000-ospf-failure-due-to-mfdm.html

Have you experienced similar OSPF or MFDM failure on Nexus 7000? I will also appreciate those of you closer to Cisco dev community to comment on whether a hardware or ASIC related failure could be causing MFDM crash, or more likely a software bug?
