When I connect a CAB-OCTAL-ASYNC cable to the console port on a Cisco 2960 (48 port) Switch the LED light on the CISCO NM-32A Terminal Access Server Module I have installed in my Cisco 2600XM router does not light up. However, when I connect the same CAB-OCTAL-ASYNC cable to the console port on a Cisco 2960 (24 port) Switch the LED light works correctly. Both of the 2960 switches are running the latest version of the IOS recommended by Cisco. Other than the LED light, the console connection itself works correctly in both cases. Would welcome any advice on this one.
