I have been searching Cisco wite and through Google about what can be considered normal CPU utilization values. I ahve found a lot of documents for TROUBLESHOOTING HIGH CPU UTILIZATION, but very few (really none) have reference numbers. So, I am curious if there are documents with such information, like those for IDB (Interface Descriptor Blocks). I´m not in a hurry, but some customers asked me this question in the past.

just from opinion over the years you don't want anything running constantly over 70% I would consider it running hot , generally most devices run low anything up to 30% depending what there doing but if you have all features enabled all ports running device fully populated you can see them run higher , but I would start investigating usually if we get snmp alerts or prime alerts for anything running over 60-70 constantly and see exactly what process id is causing it or if its a combination of a few, it can vary through platforms too as some our obviously larger and better equipped to handle pressure , our vss core switches run about 5 -15% but some of our lower end access switches can be running about 30 usually
I haven't found any specific docs that give exact numbers when searching either
